Royal Air Force Roundels
This graphic tshirt displays roundels used by RN Fleet Air Arm, Army Air Corps and the Royal Air Force through the ages. Initially the Union Flag was painted on early combat aircraft, but roundels were used to avoid confusion with the German Iron Cross. The Royal Flying Corps started using the blue outer and red centre roundel in December 1914. The roundel evolved over the years and varied according to the role of the aircraft it was painted on.
T-shirts are made from 100% pre-shrunk ringspun cotton. A comfortable shirt to wear at 185gsm with tubular short sleeves.
