K5054 was the only Spitfire prototype made and was first flown by 'Mutt' Summers on 5th March 1936. He famously remarked "I don't want anything touched!" referring to how perfect the aircraft flew. The Sea Fury entered service in 1947 and was used during the Korean war and during the attempted invasion of Cuba in 1961. This graphic tshirt displays roundels used by RN Fleet Air Arm, Army Air Corps and the Royal Air Force through the ages. Initially the Union Flag was painted on early combat aircraft, but roundels were used to avoid confusion with the German Iron Cross. The Royal Flying Corps started using the blue outer and red centre roundel in December 1914. The roundel evolved over the years and varied according to the role of the aircraft it was painted on.

The Hawker Siddeley Nimrod entered service with Royal Air Force in 1969 and was retired in 2011. This maritime patrol aircraft was a development of the de Havilland Comet. It replaced the Avro Shackleton in the anti-submarine role and anti-surface warfare. Later in its service life it took on the Airborne Early Warning role, eventually replaced by the Sentry.
